Yesterday morning around 11.00a.m Abulance services were called to the area of Agrilia, as a young lady of 21years had fallen from her horse and was in a serious condition.
The young lady had been riding her own horse along the road when the horse slipped as it came of the asphalt road onto a gravel path causing the horse to fall along with its rider. Unfortunately, the fall for the rider was serious as she hit her head. Witnesses at the time tried to keep the young lady conscious as the ambulance made its way to the scene. The young lady was taken to our local hospital but was later transferred by helicopter to a mainland hospital, where she has been placed in intensive care. Her condition, according to sources, although very serious is stable.
**We must note that this incident does not have any relation to any horse riding centres, as the young lady concerned was riding her own horse.
