TOPIC: Judicial Officers across the country step up their campaign rallies from Monday 24th February, 2020
TO: All print media and news sections of the electronic media.
The Association of Zakynthos Judicial Officers, participating in the mobilization rallies decided unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Federation of Judicial Officers of Greece (ODYE), continues from Monday 24 February 2020 Hours 09: 00-11: 00 am
During the two hour mobilizations each day, Judicial Officers will abstain from all their work (offices, public service and lawyers).
The mobilizations were decided, after a long state of affairs, which resulted in the accumulation of major problems in the area of justice. The most typical of these problems are the great shortage of human resources, the adverse working conditions of the Judicial Officers, without any real recognition so far, the enormous shortcomings in logistical infrastructures (crude or non-existent computerization, the absence of new technologies). All the above, plus many other problems, result in our citizens having trouble in the courtrooms daily, with prolonged postponements of their cases, resulting in loss of time and money.
In their mobilizations, the Judicial Officers claim:
JUDICIAL OFFICIALS OF ALL CATEGORIES AND BRANCHES, INITIATIVE WITH COMPLETION OF COMPETITIONS LAUNCHED THREE YEARS AGO (2017),
RELEASE OF THE SPECIAL CONDITION ALLOWANCE (granted until 2011), as a tangible recognition of their PARTICULARLY RISK AND UNEASY TERMS
OVERCOMING EMPLOYMENT PAYMENT FOR ALL COURT OFFICIALS,
PROMOTION TO VOTE THE DRAFT NEW CODE OF COURT OFFICERS,
INSTALLATION OF GENERAL AND SPECIAL TRAINING OF ALL JUDICIAL OFFICIALS TO BE HELD AS APPOINTED THROUGH THEIR PERIOD.
RECORDING IN ALL CIVIL AND CRIMINAL COURTS.
MODERNIZATION OF MATERIAL-TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE (building installations, new technologies).
REPRODUCTION OF THE SPECIAL SOLIDARITY ACCOUNT OF THE FORMER EXCHANGE FUND, FOR THE SUPPORT OF COURT OFFICIALS WHO HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS.
INCREASE (AT LEAST DOUBLE) OF THE COSTS OF TRAFFIC COURTS.
It is noteworthy that in the Judicial Services of our Prefecture, there are currently 15 employees in a total of 32 organizational positions.
And this problem has remained unresolved for the last 20 years.
In their struggle the Judicial Officers: CLAIM WHAT IS LOGICAL, CLAIM THEIR OWN RIGHTS, IN THE AREA OF JUSTICE WITH A CONSISTENT AND HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL RESPONSIBILITY.
