Apollo, Ving and Tui cancel all flights from Norway to Zakynthos until August 20, 2020

Corfu, Zakynthos, Lefkada and Preveza are significantly affected as the last two areas are served by the Aktio airport to which several flights were scheduled from Oslo and other Norwegian cities.

Following the announcement by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that travel abroad will not take place until August 20, the three largest tour operators in the country, Apollo, Ving and Tui, have announced that they will cancel all flights and holiday packages offered until that date.

From the above development, Corfu, Zakynthos, Lefkada and Preveza are significantly affected as the last two areas are served by the Aktio airport to which several flights were planned from Oslo but also from other Norwegian cities.

It is now clear that by 2020 any arrivals from Norway to the Ionian Islands will be minimal as the companies’ plans are completed in late September to early October and therefore the number of remaining flights is very limited.

This is very negative news and we will wait to see what the Norwegian company decides, which currently maintains the program to Kefalonia, Corfu and Aktio, but it concerns the two months of July-August and if there is a similar development then we will have a total cancellation for in 2020.
