Arrests after illegal products found on cruise boats

A case has been filed with the Zakynthos Public Prosecutor after the arrest of two people in regards to circulating illegal and dangerous products.

The case has come to light from custom auditors of the Independent Public Revenue Office (AAD) and centres on two party cruise boats at Zakynthos Port aimed at young tourists. The boats were found to be carrying 550 ampoules of laughing gas as well as a large amount of balloons and 4 balloon fillers.

Upon the discovery, two people were arrested. Misleading consignment papers for sixty-two litres of spirits were also found and these are also now being investigated.
