Yesterday, 28/08/19 the Zakynthos Port Authority was informed that a vehicle was in the sea. Located in the area of Agios Stathis Argassi, Zakynthos early hours of the morning.
Immediately the officials of the relevant Port Authority arrived at the spot. On arrival they found the existence of a private vehicle in the sea without occupants.
The owners of the vehicle were briefed while onshore and offshore investigations were carried out by CS-ELAKT patrol vessels for possible persons, with negative results.
The vehicle was towed and removed by a crane, while on a check it was found that it lacked an insurance policy and a Technical Registration Inspection Card (KTEO).
The incident caused no injuries and no marine pollution, while the Zakynthos Port Authority, which is conducting the preliminary investigation, imposed administrative sanctions.
