The Night Parade of Greece’s biggest and most famous Carnival in Patras started on Saturday night. Estimated 40,000 carnivalists are currently marching through the streets of the port city in West Peloponnese.
According to the tradition, it is the carnivalists who march without the floats.

Sunday noon, the impressive floats surrounded by 160 carnival groups will march again through the city.
The events marking the peak of the Patras Carnival over the weekend started in th emorning. The thousands of local carnivalists and visitors were surprised to welcome US President Donald Trump and Melania in the city on Saturday morning.
The weekend before Clean Monday is the peak of the Greek Carnival.
