Coronavirus:- Greece, 74 year old positive for the second time.

Another man died in our country within the last 24 hours, due to the covid-19, as announced during the daily briefing from the Ministry of Health on the course of the virus in our country.

The death toll in our country now stands at 139, of which 36 were women and the rest were men.

Many countries record 300 to 600 deaths a day, such as Spain and France.

According to Mr. Tsiodras, the new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Greece are 10, bringing the total number to 2,576. Of these, 589 are considered to be related to travel abroad and 1,268 are related to an already known case.

At the same time, 41 of our fellow citizens are intubated, with an average age of 67 years. 12 are women and the rest are men. 71 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

To date, 72,130 laboratory samples have been tested.

“No health system can deal with a massive influx of cases, we have escaped the worst, however, not without losses,” Mr Tsiodras said.

Regarding the change of attitude of the Committee of Scientists for the use of a mask, Mr. Tsiodras stressed: “At that time, the data did not support the use of a mask, while now they support it. Now the situation is different, it is an evolving situation. The use of the mask will be a complementary measure, not so that we do not contract the virus, but, so that we do not transmit the virus “.

According to https://www.patrisnews. a  74-year-old woman from Hlia tested positive for the second time.

The woman was among the first patients,  among those who fell ill after visiting the Holy Lands. Since proving positive with the virus she now is under house arrest. However, it is noted without any particular symptoms.

Tomorrow doctors will talk to the infectious disease specialists in Patras to determine the next steps to be taken.
