The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, infectious disease specialist Sotiris Tsiodras, announced on this afternoon 24/4 that 27 new cases of coronavirus were reported in our country, with the total number reaching 2490.
He also announced that in the last 24 hours we had 5 recorded deaths. In total, 130 people have died of coronavirus in Greece
Of the cases, 580 are related to travellers and 1160 to an already known case. The number of intubated patients reaches 48 with an average age of 67 years. Of the intubated, 13 are women and the rest are men. Sixty people left the Intensive Care Unit.
Mr. Tsiodras also referred to the latest data which shows which people with underlying diseases are more at risk of coronavirus and to what extent. Specifically, heart patients reported complications by 19.4%, patients with chronic respiratory diseases other than asthma by 16.5%, those with uncontrolled diabetes by 14.8%, those with hypertension not regulated by 11.6% and patients with nephropathy by 9.5%.
