What applies to fishing from May 4th – All the information.
The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATHE) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment informs the interested parties that the transition for amateur fishing purposes at sea or in watercourses is allowed from Monday, 4/5/2020, under the following:
Every citizen must have an identity card and an amateur fishing license. It is clarified that it is also allowed to practice amateur fishing at sea from the shore, for which an amateur fishing license is not required.
Mandatory text message,
No more than two people together, meaning both have sent a text message,
Any movement between the hours of 22:00 – 06:00 is prohibited,
The terms of the relevant decrees concerning measures taken to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus apply,
In addition to all of the above, all the terms of the Fisheries Law and its Regulations apply.

May is the month of amateur fishing bans, so fishing in May needs attention as not all fishing tools and techniques are allowed.
Basically the fishing techniques that are prohibited are the longline and the fishing rifle.
Fishing in May, what can we fish
The rest of the techniques related to amateur fishing (hooked tools as described in PD 373/1985), either by boat or by shore are allowed.
Indicatively, we mention fishing techniques from boat, vertical, shovel, jigging, trolling, inchiku, etc. as well as from shore such as throwing, casting, epic, English, spinning etc. which are allowed in May and we can fish legally with them.
