Vaccine: How to make an appointment by SMS – The steps in process
How to make an appointment for the vaccine – How will the intangible prescription play a role – What sms will we receive
The way in which the citizens will make an appointment in order to get the coronavirus vaccine has essentially been prepared by the Authorities. In fact, the Deputy Minister of Digital Government, Grigoris Zarifopoulos, described the process step by step, emphasizing the importance of activating intangible prescribing, in order to make everything easier for the citizens. “We are in the final stages of planning the vaccination with the Ministry of Health. It is a very complex exercise that has to do with the vaccination of the whole population. The main way the world will be informed will be digitally. I call on all our fellow citizens to activate the service of intangible prescribing “, stressed Mr. Zarifopoulos speaking about the First Program.
Step by step process
He also pointed out that 850,000 citizens, who have already activated the intangible prescription, will receive an SMS on their mobile phone or an email when the vaccination starts with a pre-arranged appointment. They will answer free of charge with
1: I accept and 2: I do not accept.
In the first case they will go to the appointment day and time at the vaccination centre and in the second we are looking for other ways to provide if he wants – because vaccination is voluntary – how he will ask for a new appointment in order to get the vaccine.”
According to Mr. Zarifopoulos, the way through the website gov.gr will be the platform emvolio.gov.gr, so that he digitally closes his appointment. There are elements that have to do with the age of the citizen, where the elders will first receive the relevant message. There will also be non-digital media, because not all of our fellow citizens have the relevant digital skills but we cannot do everything through a call centre.
“We have a very high percentage of population coverage, in terms of mobile telephone communication. There will be non-digital media for the rest. It is a very complex exercise as a whole. There will be six main warehouses in the country, which will supply the vaccination centres. It will be designed correctly; it just hasn’t been designed yet. We will be ready, have no doubt. “We just have to weigh all the factors,” he said.
For SMS to 13033
Asked about how long the SMS line 13033 will remain in our lives, Mr. Zarifopoulos stressed: “13033 is a tool that helped the citizens and the state to monitor how the measures are observed. It essentially replaces paper. We do not keep any data; we do not have any statistics. All we know is the set of messages. “We want to believe that until the mass vaccination we will finally get out of this unprecedented adventure and we will not have to put restrictions on the movement of citizens, we will stop the spread of the virus and we will move on with our lives.”
