A list stage by stage of what businesses can open this month coming. Noting whilst in any closed facilities all should wear a mask. Not wearing a mask a fine of 150 Euros will be implemented.
1st stage: May 4
Retail companies (bookstores, optical, sports equipment, plant sales, consumer markets and the release of producers’ movement for public markets between regions) and the provision of services (hairdressers, barbershops, beauty centres, KTEO are released. ) These are the ones that will be allowed to open first. In addition those businesses corresponding with the following codes are 4741, 4742, 4761, 4762, 4764, 4776, 7120, 9602.
The services of shoe services, optical stores and the sale of hearing aids will resume.
Regarding the measures of prevention and protection are defined as follows: – For retail enterprises up to 20 sq.m. 4 people only, from 20 sq.m. – 100 sq.m. 4 people (1 person every 10 sq.m.) and more than 100 sq.m. 12 people (1 person every 15 sq.m.) – Also, for the first stage, in the morning, the opening of stores with extended hours is postponed on a case-by-case basis, keeping distances of 2 meters per person, using a mask for staff and customers, while it is recommended not to use elevators. However, if necessary then shops may use only 40% of their lift capabilities. Stores that have escalators for their customers are not allowed to use them.
Barbershops, hairdressers, beauty salons:-
A distance of 2 meters within the workplaces is allowed for barbershops, hairdressers and beauty salons, which also open on Monday and will initially operate only by appointment and a list of their clients should be provided on a daily basis for operation. The use of a mask is mandatory for everyone and disposable gloves for employees in beauty salons. The opening hours are extended from 7.00 to 22.00 on weekdays and from 7.00 to 21.00 on Saturdays. At the same time, in case of more than one level, the presence of more than 1 person for every 10 sq.m. is not allowed.
On Monday, the KTEOs will resume their operation, with the same terms of arrival of customers, while in terms of public markets valid are the existing operating measures of 50% and non-sale of industrial items.
Stage 2: May 11
May 11 is a key date for other retail businesses. Here, too, the rules of the first phase will apply, while the sale of industrial items will now be allowed on the popular market. Driving schools are also opening, with the mandatory instruction for the use of a mask and gloves.
Stage 3: May 18
Archaeological sites, zoos and botanical gardens are expected to open on May 18, gaming shops reopen without providing services to seated people. The ban on performances remains in recreational areas.
4th stage: June 1st
Shopping malls, restaurants and cafes in outdoor areas reopen on June 1st, however, maintaining the social distance rule of 2 meters and only 4 people per table.
5th stage: In June
The fifth stage will start in June, without an exact date yet. However, this provides for the resumption of summer cinemas with a distance of 1.5 m between spectators per row and a fullness of up to 60%. Also reopening are the all year round hotels, with rules set for cafes and restaurants.
6th stage:-
Amusement park, theme parks and outdoor playgrounds are expected to open during the sixth stage of the implementation of the lifting of measures. Here, too, the same distance rules will be followed.
7th stage.
In the seventh and final stage of the government plan, restaurants and cafes will be reopened indoors, entertainment businesses, holiday accommodation and sports facilities (closed spaces).
