EODY announced on Monday, April 5, 1,866 cases of coronavirus, 73 deaths and 759 intubated .
The announcement of EODY in detail:
“The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,866, of which 13 were identified after checks at the country’s gates.
The total number of cases is 277,277 (daily change + 0.7%), of which 51.4% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 69 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,935 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 73, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 8,453 deaths have been recorded. 95.7% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 759 (65.0% men). Their average age is 68 years. 84.1% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,771 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admissions of new Covid-19 patients in the hospitals of the territory are 438 (daily change -22.06%). The average seven-day admission is 493 patients. The average age of cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 105 years), while the average age of death is 79 years (range 0 to 103 years)
Most new cases of coronavirus are recorded in Attica, according to the distribution of cases announced by EODY. Specifically, out of the total of 1,866 cases of coronavirus, 783 new cases are recorded in Attica, 245 were detected in Thessaloniki, while another 112 cases were recorded in Achaia.
