Zakynthos Informer team member Louise has reported live from the Port of Zakynthos that there are some ferry delays at the Port today.
Stuck at the port awaiting the ferry, on her way to the Gisotra Competition, Louise updated us on chaotic scenes that were said to be due to the ferry boat of Levante issuing more tickets to passengers than the ferry could actually hold. Passengers with cars who were attempting to board the ferry were told they were unable to get onto it. Understandably this caused some chaos for those attempting to travel. Initially the ferry was thirty minutes late departing, whilst the passengers and staff waited for the authorities to take charge and resolve the issue.
The boat eventually left at 2pm, but with an hour delay to the sailing schedule. Unfortunately some passengers on board have now missed further travel connections.
