EasyJet to stop flights from three UK airports from 01 September


It’s has been announced this afternoon that EasyJet will shut three UK airport bases on 01 September 2020.

The bases at Newcastle, Southend and Stansted will close on 01 September, not only causing a loss of approx 670 employers but also affecting EasyJet flights from these airports.

All outbound flights will cease from Newcastle and Stansted airports on the 01 September, inbound flights to both these airports will still continue.

Southend airport will see both inbound and outbound flights cease on the 01 September.

Anyone booked to travel from these airports from 01 September should contact their travel operator for clarification. Gatwick, Liverpool, Luton and Manchester flights will operate as normal.
