The storm that hit the island today has seen the island affected by winds of 75 to 90kph (storm force 9). These winds have caused issues with a number of boat/ferry routes and the passenger ferry to Kefalonia was cancelled due to dangerous seas.
Whilst some boats did manage to operate between Zakynthos and the mainland this afternoon, latest reports state that passenger ferries are unlikely to operate on Monday morning.
