Graffiti!!! We will not put up with it!

The Volunteer Group of Zakynthos continues its message that “Zakynthos is our home and that our home deserves the best.”

After seeing Graffiti written on a wall outside the cultural centre in Zakynthos Town, the team decided to do to something about it.

As one member wrote on their FB page

“Zakynthos Municipality Cultural Centre – Wednesday 6-11-2019. Because we couldn’t see the entrance as you see it in the first photos, we cleaned it up with a lot of effort … It’s a matter of aesthetics, how each and every one of us  sees things and from what view. We do not tolerate the image of our island being tarnished by certain people who we are not even tempted to call people … We do not seek a well done (we believe you have got to know us over the  years and  after the cleanups),  we look forward to a change and a change of mind …  A huge thanks to LIVERI  for building materialsin Lithakia for the FREE supply of Anti-Graffiti Spray !!

The efforts of the team have certainly paid off and are shown in the photos below:-

As The Volunteer Group of Zakynthos is now into its fourth year of campaigning, they have been a beacon of hope that things have changed. Volunteer Groups all over Zakynthos have now been formed and it seems that change even though slowly, will continue.

All I can say for now is GO VOLUNTEERS!!!
