Greece:- 75 new cases within the last 24hours with 2 deaths

Twelve of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation.

The National Organization of Public Health (EODY), announced on Sunday (2/8) a total of 75 new cases of the coronavirus pandemic in Greece. Specifically, 75 new cases of the new virus were announced in the country, of which 4 were detected after checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 4662, of which 54.7% are men.

 

 

Of these 1290 (27.7%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2308 (49.5%) are related to an already known case. Twelve of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 64 years. 2 (16.7%) are women and the rest are men. 66.7% have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 128 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

 

Finally, we have 2 more recorded deaths and 208 deaths in total in the country. 67 (32.2%) women and the rest men. The median age of our dying fellow citizens was 76 years and 95.7% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

 

Where the cases are located

28 of the 75 new cases are located in Thessaloniki and Kavala, 15 of which are associated with the two already identified outbreaks.

nineteen (19) cases in the peripheral unit of Attica, three (3) of which are related to influx into the national water polo team.

fifteen (15) cases from the peripheral unit of Thessaloniki, * four (4) of which are related to the wedding in Ampelokipi, Thessaloniki *.

Thirteen (13) cases from the peripheral unit of Kavala, * eleven (11) of which are related to an influx in the meat processing plant *.

Four (4) cases from the regional unit of Halkidiki.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Arcadia.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Arcadia.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Imathia.

One (1) case in the regional unit of Ioannina.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Kastoria.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Corfu.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Kozani.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Corinth.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Pieria.

One (1) case in the peripheral unit of Chania.

Two (2) cases in the peripheral unit of Heraklion, Crete.

Two (2) cases from the regional unit of Xanthi.

Two (2) cases from the peripheral unit of Fthiotida.
