A great uproar has arisen in Syros since it became known that a 60-year-old man from the island, after receiving the Astra Zeneca vaccine at the island’s vaccination center, collapsed and left urgently for a large hospital in Athens, with airlift.
According to the local website syrospress.gr, the 60-year-old carried out the said vaccine after a scheduled appointment, but a little later when he arrived home he collapsed and was transported urgently to the General Hospital of Syros and then to a Hospital in Athens.
“It simply came to our notice then. As soon as he came in, he went to make a coffee and collapsed. Fortunately, his wife was there and called for help. An ambulance came and transported him to the hospital, where the doctors diagnosed a severe stroke – ischemic and not hemorrhagic according to the axial that was done “said a person close to him.
“Ischemic is caused by blood clots. This particular vaccine has also been accused of causing blood clots. “We are not doctors but we combine the facts,” he said
