A fairly large increase in coronavirus cases was recorded by EODY on Thursday, with 359 new cases, while nine people lost their lives in a 24 hour period. Attica is on high alert as 212 cases were recorded.
According to the data, the 21 cases are connected with known confluences and 36 were identified after checks at the country’s entrance gates. The total number of cases is 14,400, of which 55.6% are men.
2500 (17.4%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 6070 (42.2%) are related to an already known case.
At the same time, 69 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 70 years. 21 (30.4%) are women and the rest are men.
87.0% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 178 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 9 more recorded deaths and 325 deaths in total in the country. 121 (37.2%) women and the rest men.
The median age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.6% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
