The latest epidemiological data regarding the de-escalation of the health system in the country is encouraging, with Attica remaining the “focus” of the spread of the coronavirus.
In Attica, most cases of coronavirus were detected for another 24 hours, according to the geographical distribution announced by EODY.
Specifically, out of the total 932 cases, 457 were recorded in Attica and 85 in Thessaloniki.

Specifically, today, Saturday, June 5, EODY announced:
“The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 932, of which 1 was identified after checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 408,789 (daily change + 0.2%), of which 51.2% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 34 are considered related to travel from abroad and 1,913 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 35, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 12,253 deaths have been recorded. 95.2% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 416 (62.7% men). Their median age is 67 years. 86.1% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,498 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 149 (daily change -1.32%). The average import for the seven days is 166
The median age of cases is 43 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).

A total of 5,986,480 vaccinations have been carried out (+98.199) on 04/06/2021.
3,854,982 vaccinations with at least 1 dose have been given (+51.772) on 04/06/2021.
Whilst a total of 2,253,347 comprehensive vaccinations have been performed (+49.127) on 04/06/2021.
