The information from EODY about the cases of coronavirus in Greece during the last 24 hours
EODY announced on Saturday, May 15, 1,957 new cases of coronavirus, 43 deaths and 661 intubated patients. The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 302 (daily change -20.73%). Note that 59,927 tests were performed (PCR: 16,573, RAPID: 43,354) and their positivity was 3.27%.
Detailed according to the announcement of EODY:
The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,957, of which 2 were identified after checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 375,831 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 51.2% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 49 are considered related to travel from abroad and 2,677 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 43, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 11,365 deaths have been recorded. 95.2% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older
The number of patients treated by intubation is 661 (62.5% men). Their median age is 67 years. 82.6% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,272 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 302 (daily change -20.73%). The average seven-day admission is 334 patients. The median age of cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).

In Attica, most of the new cases of coronavirus in Greece are recorded for another 24 hours and on Saturday, May 15, according to the distribution of cases announced by EODY. Specifically, out of the total of 1,957 cases of coronavirus, 886 new cases are recorded in Attica, 184 were detected in Thessaloniki, while in Larissa 61 cases were found in 24 hours.
