EODY announced 2,604 new cases today, Thursday, July 22, informing about the coronavirus pandemic in Greece. At the same time, announcing that 126 intubated patients were registered in the hospitals, while during the last 24 hours, 5 deaths were recorded.
According to the epidemiological report of EODY:
The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 2,604, of which 11 were identified after checks at the country’s gates
The total number of cases is 469,042 (daily change + 0.6%), of which 51.2% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 131 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,325 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 5, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 12,875 deaths have been recorded. 95.1% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 126 (60.3% men). Their median age is 66 years. 89.7% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,774 patients have been discharged from the ICU
The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 173 (daily change + 7.45%). The average seven-day admission is 138 patients.
The median age of cases is 41 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years)
In Attica, most of the new cases of coronavirus in Greece are recorded for another 24 hours and on Thursday, July 22, according to the distribution of cases announced by EODY. Specifically, out of the total 2,604 cases of coronavirus in Attica, 1,066 new cases are recorded and in Thessaloniki, 243.
