The cases remain high as today, Monday, July 19, 1834 new infections were registered. At the same time, 8 people lost their lives while 123 patients are treated by intubation.
The announcement of EODY: The new laboratory confirmed cases of the disease that were recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,834, of which 14 were identified after checks at the entrance gates of the country.
The total number of cases is 459,146 (daily change + 0.4%), of which 51.2% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 141 are considered related to travel from abroad and 1,360 are related to an already known case.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 123 (61.0% men). Their median age is 66 years. 89.4% have an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,760 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 141 (daily change + 6.82%). The average seven-day admission is 117 patients. The median age of cases is 42 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).

Coronavirus in Zakynthos
According to data Zakynthos has 26 new cases in the last 24hour period. Compared to the previous weeks 28/6 – 04/7 we had zero cases on our Island. From 05/07 – 11/07 we have had a total of 21 cases, whilst last week from the 12/07 – 18/07 48 cases were accounted for which gave a 128.57% rise in cases.
This time compared to last year from the period of 20/07/2020 up until 02/08/2020 we only had 4 known cases on our Island.
Vaccination
A total of 38.101 (+4 on 18/07/2021) vaccinations have been given. 22.208 (+3 on 18/07/2021) have been given their first dose, whilst 19.771 (+1 on 18/07/2021) have completed their vaccination programme.
