Cases have in creased rapidly, we are now looking at four digit numbers with over a thousand new cases in the last twenty four hours.
EODY announced 1259 new cases of coronavirus in the country, of which 112 are associated with known outbreaks and 62 were detected following checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 32752, of which 55.5% are men.
According to the infectious disease specialist Gikas Majorkinis, out of 1259 new cases, 295 were located in the Attica region, 291 in the Thessaloniki region, 73 in the Rodopi region, 55 in the Serres region and 47 in the Larissa region.

43 cases are under investigation.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 12, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 593 deaths have been recorded. The 225 (37.9%) women and the rest men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.1% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 102. Their median age is 65 years. 33 (32.4%) are women and the rest are men. 96.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older.
Also 277 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
