Coronavirus: 667 new cases in Greece – Negative record
The spread of the epidemic is now at particularly high levels, with EODY announcing 667 new cases. At 8 the new deaths.
At the highest level since the beginning of the epidemic, setting a new negative record, the new coronavirus diagnoses moved.
In particular, the National Health Organization announced on the afternoon of Tuesday 20/10 that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease are 667, of which 88 are associated with known outbreaks and 45 were identified after checks at the country’s gates.

250 of them are located in Attica. The total number of cases amounts to 26469 (daily change + 2.6%), of which 55.6% are men.
Of the total cases, 3613 (13.6%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 10539 (39.8%) are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 8, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 528 deaths have been recorded. 199 (37.7%) were women and 329 men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.2% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 87. Their median age is 66 years. 27 (31.0%) are women and the rest are men. 93.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older.
There are 260 patients who have been discharged from the ICU.
