Coronavirus: New negative record – 935 new cases in Greece

The coronavirus is spreading rapidly in Greece, with EODY announcing 935 new cases on Saturday afternoon. Another 5 deaths, in 91 the intubated.

A new negative record in coronavirus diagnoses for the country with the National Organization of Public Health (EODY) announcing on Saturday afternoon that the new laboratory confirmed cases of the disease are 935.

Of these, 47 are associated with known influxes, while 44 were identified following checks at the country’s gates. More than 200 in Attica and Thessaloniki while cases exist in many other areas.

The total number of cases is 29,992, of which 55.5% are men. At the same time, 3828 (12.8%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 11532 (38.5%) are related to an already known case, while the rest are not related to either travel or another known case or are still under investigation.

The average age of cases is 39 years (range 0 to 103 years), while the average age of death is 79 years (range 25 to 102 years).

At the same time, 5 new deaths were recorded, with the total deaths in the country reaching 564, 213 (37.8%) women and the rest men. The median age of patients who died was 79 years and 96.3% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

At the same time, the intubation reached 91. The median age of the intubators is 66 years. 30 (33.0%) are women and the rest are men. 93.4% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 270 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

 

Finally, it should be noted that in the last 24 hours, according to EODY, 20,072 laboratory tests were performed.

The situation remains critical in Attica and Thessaloniki while we have an increase in cases in Serres.
