Greece:- Entering Greece with “Bar-Codes” and “Passenger Locator Forms” compulsory 48 Hours before travel.

The industry “tourism” is in full swing for a very different summer due to the coronavirus.

As SKAI TV channel revealed, with targeted bar-code tests, the gates of Greek tourism will open from July 1 at 27 airports in the country, which will receive flights from 18 destinations outside the European Union. At the same time, 7 ports and up to 7 border stations are opening. Targeted audits will be based on special software that calculates which tourists are more likely to be carriers of the new coronavirus.

As Dimitris Paraskevi, an associate professor of Epidemiology at EKPA and a member of the Committee of Experts, said, “with this algorithm it is considered that the majority of imported cases will eventually be able to be detected by this procedure.Up to 48 hours before leaving for Greece, travellers will be required to fill out a form on their computer or mobile application with their details and data, such as their country of origin, from which other countries they passed, where they have been for the last 15 days. Click HERE to fill out your form.

Specifically, TRAVELLERS must fill in the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) form at travel.gov.gr. These data will be collected in a database and through their analysis each traveler will receive a special bar-code, based on which the authorities in Greece will know upon arrival whether it should be checked or not.

Entrance Gates:-

“The tests per entrance gate will be divided according to the risk that will be assessed per passenger. For example, if we have 1000 tests a day for Eleftherios Venizelos for the airport, these 1000 tests will be done in such a way as to maximize the possibility of detecting the positive cases per day and per gateway “, stressed Mr. Paraskevi.

As of July 1, the country’s 27 airports are now open for flights from abroad: 20 major ones, including Zakynthos, Heraklion, Chania, Corfu, Rhodes and Mykonos, but also 7 smaller ones in Ioannina, Sitia, Lemnos, Kythira, Skyros. , Paros and Chios.
