A great initiative by the Ministry of Tourism, EOT & Marketing Greece with the support of Google is the platform GREECE FROM HOME
At the moment everyone is going through a crisis due to coronavirus, it is more important than ever to preserve the good of public health above all.
The Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization and all tourism agencies stand by the Greek government in fighting the coronavirus pandemic, advocating the only responsible choice for the whole of Greek society, the choice to “stay home” .
At the same time, the government and tourism agencies are directly reflecting on the management of the severe crisis caused by Covid-19 in tourism and in the aftermath of measures taken by the state to support the sector, jointly with the Ministry of Tourism, the EOT and Marketing Greece, they have created the online platform Greece From Home. This is an initiative to enhance the image of our country during the pandemic.
Greece from Home, with a key message from home, has three central goals: to help people around the world stay in touch with our Greek culture, to discover and be inspired by the country’s beauty and enhance their digital skills – all while staying home.
“In addition to measures to protect public health, shield and restart the economy and rebuild Greek society, the government is now taking steps to strengthen and manage the image of our country as a tourist destination in the context of its overall strategic response due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic”, Tourism Minister Haris Theocharis said on the Greece From Home initiative , while continuing:“ We fully support the choice of staying home and in the field of tourism. This way we keep in touch with our audience, with a key message From Home, through our home, that is, our country and everything Greece aspires to ideas, values, and experiences. It is particularly important that in these difficult times the public and private sectors work seamlessly and work intensively to give Greek tourism a timely moment in a difficult present, while preparing for the next day.”
