According to a recent poll which was conducted in co-operation by open tv and ethnos. gr Greeks want tourists to be tested before they enter Greece.
The first “Open Research” of ALCO for June 2020 involved 1,000 people aged 17 and over from all over Greece. The questions asked by the citizens included their attitude towards the government manipulations of the coronavirus pandemic, the restrictive measures, but also issues concerning the Region, “giving voice” to its problems and needs.
Pessimistic or Optimistic.
According to the poll, citizens are “divided” over how they see the future after the crisis caused by the outbreak of the new coronavirus pandemic, with 47% saying they are pessimistic about how things will turn out in Greece over the next 6 months while 45% say they are optimistic.
It is indicative that 49% of respondents believe that the most important problem in the country at the moment is unemployment, while 37% believe that compared to 2019 the situation is worse for his family.
Government’s handling of pandemic crisis.
The citizens seem relatively satisfied with the government’s performance in the crisis caused by the pandemic and with an excellent being at number 10, they rate its handling with 6.
Tourists entering Greece.
The issue of the arrival of tourists in our country seems to concern the citizens, since 89% believe that tourists who will come to Greece in the summer must be tested for COVID-19.
Characteristically, 75% of respondents believe that in the face of the threat of a major economic crisis, many governments around the world are lifting restrictive measures faster than they should, putting the economy above health. As far as the government’s economic support measures are concerned,70% of citizens believe that there is more room for further strengthening.
Among the most effective government ministers, citizens are the first to mention the Minister of Health, Vassilis Kikilias, while the last on the list is the Minister, Nikos Panagiotopoulos. However, a significant 48% say they trust Kyriakos Mitsotakis as prime minister more than Alexis Tsipras, who gets 23% in June, while 26% say they do not trust either of the two political leaders.
