On Monday, April 12, the Lyceums of the whole country open with the obligatory self test for students and teachers, while as the Minister of Education clarified, the measure of the tests extends to the auxiliary staff, the cleaning staff, but also the administrative staff of the schools.
“The tests should be done before Monday and Thursday every week and the statements on the platform start from tomorrow and up to 24 hours before the arrival at the school” she said characteristically speaking to SKAI. In the same context, she noted that after Easter the Ministry of Education will discuss with experts for all levels of education, High School, Primary and Kindergarten to decide when and under what conditions they will reopen.
Regarding foreign language examinations, the minister stated that the issue has been raised in the committee of infectious disease specialists, but she has not yet given her suggestion. “We will wait for the committee’s instructions after Easter, possibly earlier,” she said.
Regarding the vouchers of 200 euros, for which the applications started on April 5, the Minister of Education underlined that more than 200,000 applications have already been approved to acquire laptops and tablets.
