The Greek Government have brought in temporary closures in regards to tourist accommodation, relating to Covid 19. The measures, as announced in the Greek Government’s Gazetteovid 19, state that all minor and major seasonal tourist accommodation will close from 15th March 2020 to the 30th April 2020, inclusive.
These closures are for public health protection and they apply to the whole of Greece. Some beaches and other resorts are also affected by this temporary closure, and churches are now also closed.
Any accommodations that are currently open and operational will have until the 23rd March 2020 to close, and will then remain closed until 30th April 2020, in line with all other accommodations.
This is a temporary closure initiated by the Greek Government, and we understand that it will be worrying for some who may have travel plans on these dates.
You are advised to contact your accommodation/airline/tour operator as soon as possible to discuss and organise next steps, as this is a Greek Government decision, so they should have been advised as to what the next steps will be.
