The provision of social care and solidarity services, which consist in particular:
(a) a record of the residents of the municipality who cannot or cannot be moved from their homes and are unable to access their services;
(b) registration of impoverished and financially impoverished residents of the municipality who cannot or cannot be moved from their homes and are unable to be served upon their declaration
(c) service to the residents of pharmaceutical care and the provision of essentials to the residents of paragraph( a)
(d) free provision of medicines and essentials to the inhabitants of paragraph (b)
(e) assistance to health services operating within the boundaries of the municipality in accordance with their instructions
(f) the operation of a call centre and a website to record the requests and needs of the residents of (a) and (b)
(g) processing the requests of residents of sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) (receipt of applications – issuing certificates) for all types of certificates issued through a KEP
(h) any other work related to measures taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
In the case of small islands or mountainous municipalities where there is no corresponding service, temporary supportive social welfare and solidarity structures shall be set up and mandatory by decision of the Mayor concerned. These structures are headed by the Deputy Mayor of the respective municipality, who is designated by the decision of establishment.
For their effective operation, the above social policy structures are supported by service staff whose operation has been mandatory or temporary staff suspended by the Regional Offices of Zakynthos.
