Hollywood comes to Athens this weekend!

This weekend Syntagma Square and roads leading to and from it, will be closed to allow filming of a joint Italian/American film to take place. The Hollywood film is Called Born to be Murdered, features John David Washington and is scheduled for release in 2020.

Filming of Called Born to be Murdered takes place this weekend on Sunday 09th and Monday 10th March with closure details as follow:

Sunday 09th March

Roads leading to and from Syntagma Square, including Stadiou Street, Vas Gorgeous Avenue, and between Amerikis Street and Syntagma Square will be closed to traffic, including parking. They will be cordoned off from 6am to 6pm.

Monday 10th March

Filming will take place in Syntagma Square from 7am to 6pm, but the area won’t be fully cordoned off. Please be aware however that some traffic and pedestrian restrictions may still be in place.

We also understand that around 120 locals in the area have been employed by the film company as supporting artists, which is greta for the local economy!
