Member of , Mr D. Aktipis paid a visit to the Hospital on Friday. Mr. Aktypis followed closely the feverish preparations made by all the medical and nursing staff in order to arrange the latest details and trying to meet the remaining needs so that our Hospital Intensive Care Unit could be opened as soon as possible.
According to the MP’s statement after his interventions and ongoing communication with the Foundation’s management, the ICU is expected to be operational by the end of the week. Mr. Aktypis also issued a statement on the subject, which states: it is expected to be operational within the next few days, much sooner, that is, than initially estimated. ” The MP thanked and congratulated the Hospital Administration and staff – doctors, nurses and paramedics – for their excellent cooperation, commitment to duty, responsible attitude, professionalism and high sense of responsibility.
The MP also visited one of the GNZ clinics one by one, recorded any shortcomings and problems, talked to the Administration and the hospital health personnel, and was briefed on the emergency measures taken at the hospital, framework for the new coronavirus treatment plan (COVID-19). As Mr. Aktypis stated, “I would like to thank all our fellow citizens who stay home and follow the guidelines of National Healthy Department and the Ministry of Health. It is our obligation and duty to protect vulnerable groups and limit the spread of the disease. ”
