For the second year, Joy Cruises with the vessel ‘Azimut’, will be connecting the Ionian islands, from Corfu to Zakynthos, with sailings scheduled to begin Monday, 22nd April and end on 30th September. (the company is awaiting the approval from the Ministry).
The ship has a length of 30 metres, a width at the widest point of 6 metres and a capacity of 170 people, while there is no possibility of car transport.
It is yet to be clarified where the ship will moor in Zakynthos port. Last year, anchor was initially made on Lomvardos road – the coastal road, just opposite the travel agency that this year will once again be the agents for them. Later the ferry and passengers were served at the main port, something which this year is impossible, due to damage from the earthquake of last October.
In comparison to last year, 2018, there is a slight change in the timetable. This year the ship will call in to Meganisi for passengers to embark and disembark, after last years omission caused huge reactions amongst the locals and authorities.
