No Jet2 flights until 23 June earliest!
Today the Chief Executive of Jet2 announced that due to uncertainty in regards to the report from the Global Travel Taskforce, the airline have deceived to extend suspension of all of their holidays and flights to the 23rd June 2021.
The plans were announced overnight and the Chief Executive gave a statement to the press saying:
“We are extremely disappointed at the lack of clarity and detail in the plans, which were announced overnight. Because of the continued uncertainty that the framework provides, it is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to extend the suspension of flights and holidays up to and including 23 June 2021.
Where customers yet to travel are affected by any programme changes, we will automatically cancel their booking with a full refund, and our team of travel experts will be in touch to help them to book their summer getaway for later in the year.”
Jet2 have advised that any customers affected will automatically have their bookings cancelled, issuing a full refund, but if you have any concerns you should contact Jet2 directly.
At present Jet2 say they do not know when they will begin flights again, they also raised concerns over the cost of testing and its availability.
