Keri

Keri is a small village on the west coast of Zakynthos, situated around twenty km from Zakynthos Town. It is accessible by road taking about thirty-five minutes to drive to. Keri is a quiet resort that overlooks the Ionian sea, and is one of the few areas on the island that escaped much of the destruction caused by the 1953 earthquake. It is a traditional area that has seen some development in recent years but that keeps its traditional identity. There is a nearby lighthouse, a small port at nearby Limnou Keriou to hire boats to visit Marathonissi and the Blue Caves. It is a good place to explore the west coast of the island from, as well as being one of the best places to view the spectacular sunsets that the island experiences.
