A survey of British Cable shows that Greeks are paying for the most expensive mobile internet in Europe, while the Ukrainians the cheapest.
Cable collected data from 6,313 data programmes in 2018, which show that there are considerable differences between European countries.
For example, 1GB on average costs € 1.17 in Poland, while in Germany € 6.14. In France the average is € 2.64, while in the UK € 5.88. Greece has by far the highest cost in Europe with € 28,88, while at the opposite end is Ukraine with € 0,45 per GB.
On a worldwide basis, India has the lowest cost of just € 0.23, while Zimbabwe offers the most expensive mobile data, with € 66,93 / GB.
The US ranks the 182nd country with quite expensive mobile data. Also, 4 out of the 5 most expensive countries are in Africa.
The data collected by the UK Data Service, Cable, relates to 230 countries. The survey does not include data from some countries, such as North Korea and Venezuela.
