MSC Cruises | Vaccination program launched for its crews – Cruise ships go to sea

MSC Cruises has launched a Covid-19 vaccination program to all its crew members.

The crew of the flagship MSC Virtuosa will be vaccinated before the ship’s maiden voyage from the UK from Southampton, around May 20th, according to the company.

MSC plans to give priority to the crew of ten ships destined for 2021 summer cruises. In the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. Those to be restarted in the Caribbean from US ports, and others preparing to restart.

The ten ships have confirmed itineraries and ports in Italy, Malta, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Germany and the United Kingdom with plans to add France, Spain, etc. as more countries open their borders. and relax travel restrictions.

However, MSC did not disclose how it intends to carry out the vaccinations. How many crew members will receive the required vaccines  and in what time frame.
