As part of the STAY HOME comapign! As a precautionary measure to limit the spread of coronavirus and to dramatically reduce synchronization and overcrowding, the OAED Administration has decided to extend the automatic renewal of all unemployment benefits until April 30, 2020, through the Integrated Information System of the Organization. On March 17th, the Agency’s management had announced the automatic renewal of all unemployment declarations would expire between March 18th and April 5th, 2020.
In this way, registered unemployed who are required to renew their unemployment card during the above period do not need to take any renewal action. It is recalled that the renewal of the voucher is done either through the OAED online service or in person at the Citizens Service Centres (KEP). This measure aims at facilitating the unemployed, restricting movement and avoiding synchronization in the KEPs.
Also, since yesterday for the first time the unemployed can electronically register, obtain an unemployment certificate and apply for a regular unemployment subsidy. There is no longer any reason to attend the 118 Employment Promotion Centres (KPA2s) by appointment, as all Agency services are provided online.
