As of Thursday, April 23rd, the process of paying the extraordinary financial aid of 400 euros to the long-term unemployed will begin , as part of the government’s measures for the immediate and effective support of the unemployed.
Beneficiaries who are registered unemployed and who have acquired the status of long-term unemployed, ie exceeded 12 months of continuous registered unemployment, during the period from April 1, 2019 to April 16, 2020 , remain unemployed until April 16, 2020 (Publication Date ) and did not receive the long-term unemployment benefit. More than 168,000 unemployed, almost 1/3 of all long-term unemployed, meet the above requirements.
The automatic payment of 400 euros to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries will be made after the confirmation or registration of the bank account details (IBAN) of the beneficiaries that will be completed on May 3rd:
- The approximately 90,000 beneficiaries who have bank account details (IBAN) registered in OAED from previous transactions (such as subsidies, benefits, aid, participation in community service programs, etc.), will either be able to confirm IBAN or register a new IBAN up to on Sunday, May 3 . If they do not take any action, the 400 euros will be paid after May 3 to IBAN, which is already registered with OAED.
- The approximately 78,000 beneficiaries who do NOT have a bank account details (IBAN) registered with OAED, will have to register their details by Sunday 3 May. If they do not take any action, the 400 euros cannot be paid.
Beneficiaries, ie those who are unemployed for a long time from 12 to 24.5 months and did not receive the long-term unemployment benefit, should visit the website https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/anergia and to choose the link Extraordinary financial support to long-term unemployed.
In short, the route will be: Single Digital Gate gov.gr> Work and insurance> Unemployment> Extraordinary financial support to long-term unemployed.
Only beneficiaries will be able to confirm or register IBAN. The entry in the IBAN confirmation or registration form, as well as in all the e-services of the Organization provided through the Unified Digital Portal of the Greek State gov.gr, is done with the passwords of TAXISnet or with the passwords of certified users of OAE.
Payments will be made to the bank accounts within 2-4 business days after IBAN’s confirmation or registration. It is recalled that extraordinary financial aid is tax-free, unrestricted and is not included in the income limits for the payment of any social or welfare benefits.
