Over 7 million vaccines in Greece by the end of June – Vaccines against covid-19 can be given to pregnant women

 

So far, more then 2,530,000 vaccinations have been carried out, said the Secretary General of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous, during the briefing on the progress of the “Freedom” plan.

More than 1,760,000 citizens have been vaccinated with at least one dose, which corresponds to a vaccination coverage of 16.75% and 770,000 citizens have been vaccinated with both doses, which corresponds to a rate of 7.35%.

He pointed out that based on the planning that has been done, the appointment platform was opened for citizens with underlying diseases at increased risk, aged 18-59. While on Wednesday, April 21 the platform will be open so that teachers and citizens in the age group of 55-59 can make appointments  Then, on Saturday, April 24, the platform will open so that the ages 50-54 can make an appointment.

Regarding vaccine deliveries, he said that we expect 2,150,000 doses from BioNTech-Pfizer in May and 2,425,000 in June.

From Monterna, we expect 354,000 in May and 408,000 in June.

We have received 33,600 instalments from Johnson & Johnson and expect 300,000 in May and 960,000 in June.

Finally, we expect 450,000 doses from AstraZeneca each month.
