Press release from the movement “Clean waters for Zakynthos”

The movement “Clean Waters of Zakynthos” stated yesterday in their press release the following:-

Press release.

“On Tuesday morning, August 20th, 2019. A delegation of the group “Clear Waters in Zakynthos,” visited the M.P of Zakynthos, Mr Dionysios Aktypis.
Through dialogue and communication in a positive atmosphere. We gave evidence of the hitherto Zakynthos people’s struggle for clean seas, to Mr Aktypis. In particular we presented the memorandum to the Port Authority of Zakynthos. Also, video footage of wastewater being dumped around the coast of Zakynthos. We asked that the MP contribute to the effective elimination of pollution of our coasts and beaches by legal and transparent procedures.
Mr Aktypis, on his part, appeared informed.  Aware of the problem of pollution and with design readiness to protect the marine environment. He also presented us the overall planning of hierarchical problems in the natural environment of Zakynthos and our island in general.

The Clean Water Delegation wishes him good luck in his difficult task!
We thank him and assure him (like everyone else) that we will continue to fight for
the protection, preservation and promotion of the renowned seaside beaches and beaches of our island’s bathing and recreation.”
