According to the announcements of the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, as made during the briefing by the Ministry of Health, “all epidemiological data were evaluated and it was decided in principle to join the red areas of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki”. In terms of opening hours, these stores will be open from Monday to Friday between 07.00 and 20.00, as is the case today. At the same time retail, but also popular markets will not be open on weekends.
It is clarified that the operation of public markets is also suspended on weekends. The specific provision concerning the public markets will be valid from next weekend (February 13-14).
The only shops that will be open on Saturday are supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, gas stations and pharmacies that will be open between 07.00 in the morning and 17.00 in the afternoon.
