Detailed weather forecast for tomorrow – Winter is coming after having high temperatures this week gone – Polar temperatures with snow even in the centre of Athens is expected.
The weather is expected to be unstable from today, Monday 11/01. Specifically, according to meteorologists, local rain and a few thunderstorms are forecast in the west, central and north, possibly locally strong in the northwest. Light clouds are expected in the rest of the country.
From Tuesday, however, the weather will start to change, as the snowstorm that hit Spain and especially Madrid, is expected to affect our region, with temperatures dropping, snow even in the lowlands and rain is expected.
Today African dust is expected as the winds blow from southern directions 4 to 6 Beaufort, in the seas locally 7 and in the Aegean up to 8 Beaufort.
The forecast for Zakynthos this week is rain.
Temperatures will reach around 15 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow, with a low of 11 degrees Celsius. Later in the week it starts to get colder and more rain mainly through the night. By Friday the temperatures drop even further overnight as the low will hit 01degrees Celsius and the high being no more than 07 degrees Celsius on Friday. Frost and possible snow in our regin could be expected in the mountain areas. Saturday is forecasted for much the same but a high of 12 degrees Celsius.
Winds will be slight this week ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort.
So, it seems at the end of this week we will have to get our woollies out, afterall winter isn’t winter if we don’t have snow!
