Online applications for the academic year 2018-19 will be submitted electronically from Tuesday, 4th June to Thursday, 4th July, 2019, via the website of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs https://stegastiko.minedu.gov.gr in the specific housing benefit application.
Prerequisite for the application is the student for whom the allowance is granted, is a Greek citizen or a citizen of another country of the European Union, is the holder of a valid academic identity-card and to hold an AFM / VAT number. Citizenship is linked solely to the student, not the parents or guardians.
Before you apply for the academic year 2018-2019, you must first have submitted a tax return for the tax year 2018. Otherwise, your application will be automatically rejected upon submission. It should be noted that in the case of spouses who have submitted separate tax returns, the parent entitled to the allowance in the parent who declares all his dependent children in his tax return, in order to correctly create the economic criterion.
In order to enter the online application, the beneficiary (parent or student) will use the username and password provided by the AADE for TAXISnet electronic services. The input of the passwords serves as a sign of cross-check consent of data.
The applicant must complete the following fields of the application:
a) the students academic identity-card number,
b) if the beneficiary is the parent – the AFM / VAT numbers of himself, spouse and student, OR only the AFM / VAT number of the student, in the case where the student is the beneficiary (in accordance with Article 2 of the Joint Ministerial Decision),
c) the number of the electronic rental contract,
d) his bank account number (IBAN).
The final submission of the application shall serve as a formal declaration that the data declared by the beneficiary that are being processed is true.
