The Christmas spirit is starting to spread.

In light of Saint Nicholas’s name day the first Christmas celebrations will start.

Thursday the 5th of December a small celebration will take place at St. Nicholas church within the village of Ambelokipi.

The tradition of celebrating St. Nicholas, followed by Christmas carols sung by the women’s choir RODAMBELOS has now become an annual event.

After the religious celebrations the parish will also offer typical Christmas Greek sweets and mulled wine.

So, if you want to join in on a typical Greek Christmas, the Church of Saint Nicholas, Ambelokipi will be open in the evening at 7.30p.m this Thursday.

The church will also be celebrating Saint Nicholas day which is on Friday, 6th December with a religious ceremony starting at 08.30a.m
