A recent visit by Government officials to our Hospital brings hope of more improvements. A press release from our MP’s Office states below:-

Elena Venizelou, a member of the New Democrats Political Party ΝΔ. Along with other members: the MP of Zakynthos, Mr. Dionysios Aktypis. The MP of the Cyclades Katerina Monogyiou and the Cretan Neocles MP of Laconia. During their visit on Wednesday, September 4. The General Hospital of Zakynthos was designated as a forerunner with high level of benefits, Mrs Venizelou stated.
Members toured around the structures and special services such as the Breast Center, IVF, Abortion Center and Childbirth Waiting Unit.
They noted the high level of services provided by a public structure of the health system, both to the citizens of town and the whole Island.
They called on and urged citizens to trust in its safety and enjoy its services.
The three Members congratulated the doctors and nurses who do their best to provide their services, despite the shortcomings. They pledged to bring the problems of the hospital to the attention of the leadership of the Ministry of Health in order to resolve them more quickly.
