The Theater of Zakynthos, as of February the second up until February the seventeenth, 2019, will be holding performances, except Mondays and Tuesdays, of the romantic comedy “Fools”, a romantic comedy by Neil Simeon, directed by Nikos Skoulas – Giorgos Ghika, at the scene of the Cultural Center of Sarakinado at 21:30 .
The play itself is a comic fable by which is set in the small village of Kulyenchikov, Ukraine (Russian Territory), during the late 19th century. The story follows Leon Steponovich Tolchinsky, a school teacher, who takes a new job educating Sophia, the daughter of Dr. Zubritsky and his wife, Lenya. Leon soon learns that there is a curse on the village that makes everyone stupid, but complications ensue when Leon falls in love with his pupil.
