Three fines for unnecessary movement and 4 for non use of masks

We on Zakynthos may have come out of the RED ZONE but the police are continuing their checks and imposing fines

Intensive checks are carried out in the Ionian Islands by special teams of the respective Police Departments for the implementation of the measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.

In this context, yesterday afternoon (20.02.2021), in Kefalonia, a local owner of a store was arrested and fined 3,000 euros, for two customers who had stayed in the store, while each customer was fined 300 euros for staying in the area, as well as 300 euros for not using a mask.

In addition, last night, in Lefkada, a local was arrested and fined 3,000 euros for organizing a private gathering at home and a fine of 300 euros was also given to (3) participants for violations of traffic restrictions.

In the same context of inspections, (26) violations were confirmed in Corfu, (3) in Zakynthos, (4) in Kefalonia and (2) in Lefkada for restriction of movement and an equal number of administrative fines of 300 euros were imposed.

Finally, during the inspections carried out, (20) violations were found in Corfu, (4) in Zakynthos, (2) in Kefalonia and (1) in Lefkada for non-use of a mask, for which an administrative fine of 300 euros was imposed
